Dennis Oliver ( born as Dennis Oliveras), on December 29, 1975 ia a bilingual actor, model and director assistant, that is living and working from his early life in New York City and other cities in the continental United States. His career includes dramatic, comedy and musical roles in theater, film and television.
Early Life Dennis was borne in Ponce, Puerto Rico and grown in Yauco a town located in the southwestern side of Puerto Rico. He is the youngest of teen brothers and sisters. His passion for acting made him move to a big city searching tgo satisfy his thirst of learning theatre.
Career
The well known Puerto Rican actor Raul Julia was impressed for the natural acting talent of Dennis, and he became his mentor for three consecutive years. Dennis also was trained by the actress Miriam Colon, at the training unit of Puerto Rican traveling theatre of New York City.
Regardless of the acting experience obtained from those skilled teachers, Dennis continue to satisfy his craving for perfection and learning more from the company named "Teatro Teba" ( Teatro experimental blue amigos) with the director Hector Luis Rivera, winner of the Obie award.
Dennis Oliver was discovered from his academic acting career in 2001, beginning with a role in first grade in the theatrical piece " Hay alguien por aqui", followed by "Flamenco Twist" and "Fray Sabino". "Mi otro yo", in the year 2004, was probably the most notorious leading role for Dennis, a piece based in a very sensitive theme as AIDS is, and the conflict that this disease provoke in the everyday life. Franco Galecio directed this piece.
His experience in television shows includes" La Nube Negra", that narrates the depression and anxiety that the Spanish community experiment in the United States, this film was directed by Frank Burres, winner of the Grammy Award.
Given his enthusiasm for the performing arts, Dennis Oliver also was assistant director of "The Mistep of Juan Pachanga", and "Herencia de Amor y Sangre".
